In 2020, he co-founded Celsius Energy, now part of SLB New Energy, marking a natural evolution in his career: applying decades of experience to develop geothermal solutions that make a tangible difference in building decarbonization.
At Celsius Energy, Matthieu has led the development of scalable ground-source heat pump systems that integrate digital twins, full physics and AI-based models and innovative well placement. These solutions transform complex subsurface science into practical, deployable systems for medium to large buildings, optimizing performance and energy efficiency.
A prolific innovator, Matthieu is an inventor on 40+ patents covering geothermal system design, borefield optimization, heat pump systems and advanced control strategies.
